Dieses Buch analysiert die Praxis der wissenschaftlichen Politikberatung mit den Mitteln der Theorie der Interaktionssysteme und der Professionssoziologie. Dazu wird das beratende Handeln als soziale Beziehung gefasst, die sich als ein professionalisierungsbedürftiges Arbeitsbündnis darstellt. Die Studie macht zum einen die strukturellen Probleme dieser Praxis deutlich und zeigt zum anderen, wie mit diesen Schwierigkeiten umgegangen werden kann, so dass die wissenschaftliche Beratung erfolgreich verläuft.
